Belvedere Tiburon Library
Crystal Duran is a public library leader with more than a decade of experience advancing early literacy, child development, and family-centered services. Her work has focused on expanding equitable access to early learning opportunities, supporting caregivers, and building community partnerships that strengthen outcomes for children and families. Crystal began her early childhood systems work at First 5 LA and later led numerous initiatives supported by First 5 Imperial, including countywide early literacy programs, developmental screening efforts, provider outreach, and autism-inclusive programming. She currently serves as Director of the Belvedere Tiburon Library and brings both professional expertise and lived experience as the parent of two young children, including one under age five. Crystal earned her BA in English and Education Studies and her MLIS in Library and Information Studies from UCLA.
