Kari is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who serves as the Director of Social Services for Marin County Health and Human Services.  She brings strategic planning and thoughtful leadership to her role as chair of the Commission, and strives to support the people and programs who can make a difference in the lives of young children.  Early on, Kari completed a certificate program in Early Childhood Education and was a pre-school teacher and day care provider.  In her personal life, Kari is a proud stepmom and auntie.  Kari earned a BA in Community Studies from UC Santa Cruz, a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California as well as a Master’s in Jewish Communal Services from Hebrew Union College.
